KOALAS Wall Hanging Finished Size: 52 cm x 85 cm One of our hand or machine applique designs, this koalas quilt wall hanging is stitched by machine, or hand using blanket stitch. Your full size koalas applique pattern includes full instructions for the applique using fusible web technique with blanket stitch directions, and with optional embroidery embellishments to finish your quilted applique wall hanging. One added optional detail that was used on the Koala picture, was the addition of many little seed beads, and french knots in various shades of pink, that were added around the edges of the gum-nut flowers. Also optional was the addition of stippled quilting on the blue sky background.
KOALAS PATTERN IS $19.95 AUD and includes postage within Australia. We pride ourselves on providing colourful original designs, that are fun to do. This fusible applique pattern used fusible webbing sometimes called Vliesofix, or bonding web to fuse the separate pieces of fabric to the background. It is then machine appliqued or sewn by hand using embroidery stitches like blanket stitch or button hole stitch. Using basic patchwork for the background and borders, the wall hanging is then appliqued and quilted. We like to add optional embroidery using bead embellishments on our quilt patterns to add an extra creative touch. Our patterns are ideal for textile art backgrounds, as the optional embroidery, can be as much or as little as you like.
