One of our hand or machine applique designs, this dogs quilt wall hanging is stitched by machine, or hand using blanket stitch.

Your full size dogs applique pattern includes full instructions for the applique using fusible web technique with blanket stitch directions, and with optional embroidery embellishments to finish your quilted applique wall hanging.  This selection of different dogs looks great made up.  Use the colours you like to have your dogs and decor.  The background is made up of two different materials joined together to make floor and wall, all the dogs are appliquéd on.  The eyes add a lot of character to these dogs. Add black buttons or on the smaller dogs, try black sequins!  Either way they look great stitched with a fleck of white showing, use white thread on the buttons, and a small clear or whitish seed bead in the middle of your sequin to reflect the light, it really does liven up the eyes.  The sign on the wall, is another opportunity to personalize your wall-hanging, don't feel limited to they words, use your own ideas if you prefer.  Just embroider or use fabric marker pen to put on the words, and then appliqué as normal.

DOGS PATTERN IS $19.95 AUD

We pride ourselves on providing colourful original designs, that are fun to do. This fusible applique pattern used fusible webbing sometimes called Vliesofix, or bonding web to fuse the separate pieces of fabric to the background. It is then machine appliqued or sewn by hand using embroidery stitches like blanket stitch or button hole stitch. Using basic patchwork for the background and borders, the wall hanging is then appliqued and quilted. We like to add optional embroidery using bead embellishments on our quilt patterns to add an extra creative touch. Our patterns are ideal for textile art backgrounds, as the optional embroidery, can be as much or as little as you like. Finally the finished wall hanging is quilted,  often using a random stippled quilting. For beginners we have a how to applique section in our website. Click on this link to take you to a fusible applique tutorial, where you can learn to do blanket stitch, and sewing appliques by machine, along with beginner quilting.  "How to Applique"
